When fitting the Olympus 17mm prime lens to the Zenmuse X5 or X5R camera, this Balancing Ring is screwed onto the filter thread of the lens to help balance and stabilise the camera on the gimbal.

The ring weighs 33gm and uses the 46mm filter thread, meaning it will also fit the 12mm and 25mm Olympus lens when a heavier balancing ring is required.

It features no external thread for mounting a filter on top. If you need to mount a filter, it will have to replace this ring entirely, so aim for a filter of a similar weight.
